【Abstract】
Accumulation of nanomaterials at desired position is a basic technology for device fabrication, crystal growth, and so on.
We have found that nanomaterials dispersed in water are attracted to laser-heated single gold nanoparticles fixed on a glass substrate.
We assume that the accumulation is attributed to local convection flow induced by heat transfer from the gold nanoparticles and Marangoni effect caused by bubble formation at the particles depending on the heating laser power.
Here we report numerical simulation based on COMSOL Multiphysics examining this assumption.
